Christmas!

My Christmas this year has been absolutely wonderful. Purely for the fact its been the first year Toby has been able to fully understand and enjoy it. That magical childhood Christmas morning was back and I am very much looking forward to many more years of this to come! I have added a picture of my window decorations as I could not bring myself to include the disaster that was my Christmas tree. After going on and on for weeks about getting a real one I somehow managed to purchase one that was growing wonky out of its pot, not a good look. I then forgot to water it so it started to wilt not too long after it was purchased, again not a good look. I'm not going to be too hard on myself though as it was my first Christmas on my own and I don't think I did too badly considering I was responsible for everything and responsibility hasn't always been my strong point! 

An Update in Pictures

After an absolute disaster in the hair dressers last week I found myself sulking for two days straight! I can usually just laugh it off when I mess it up on my own, but when I pay a ridiculous amount of money for something I don't think I could have done worse myself, then that is a completely different story! However my point anyway is that my Mum, seeing me so upset, decided to take Toby to get me something to cheer me up and they arrived back with the adorable little pottery heart pictured above. I think my favourite thing about it all was how excited Toby was about giving it to me! It definitely did put a smile back on my face! I'm a very sentimental person so I absolutely love little things like this.

The pictures below are just a few bad quality camera phone ones from last week when me and Toby decided to go for a walk and feed some ducks. I know it doesn't sound like much but simple days like that are my favourite! Plus I absolutely love long walks in autumn. Definitely my favourite month! Its just a shame I forgot to take my camera after vowing to start taking more photos again. The sun was just starting to set and it was absolutely gorgeous! My little camera phone has done it no justice at all!

An update

I think I now finally know what I want to do with my life and its ever so exciting if not truly terrifying! Its easy enough to dream but going out there and grabbing what you want and putting you're all into getting it, well that's a completely different story. I'm going to spend the next couple of months working my arse off to make sure I can make some progress with this! Watch this space...
I'm also working on different ways to make a bit of extra money while I wait for a job opportunity to pop up. So far all I've got is the rather obvious eBay but I never seem to get round to it! I need to just put an afternoon/evening aside and sort it all coz the amount of clothes I haven't worn in months that are starting to clutter up my perfect little flat is rather ridiculous! If any ones interested in all my old shit that I no longer want then keep a look out for some eBay links!
I'm also in the middle of helping my baby group plan a Macmillan coffee morning and I'm really excited about it! I've always said I want to do more to help others and help raise money for charities, and what a perfect way. I also get to put my appalling cake making skills into practise and that's always a laugh!
Yesterday was my little mans third birthday! Its crazy to think I am the mother to a three year old boy, where has the time gone! Yesterday couldn't have gone any better though and it was a truly wonderful day. Its the first year Toby's been completely aware what a birthday actually is and watching him get so excited and grateful over every single gift made me ever so proud! I don't think I've ever seen anyone get so excited over a pair of socks! It also reminded me just how amazing my friends are and how lucky Toby and I are to have them. I was bombarded with texts, facebook messages, tweets and even a few surprise visits! I still can't believe its been three years already, and what an amazing three years it has been. 

I saw these images on le fashion and instantly fell in love. So simple yet so stunning.

As someone who quite literally lives in her denim cut-offs I'll most definitely be using them as inspiration!
