Bug Making

So this post is a little late!
Basically at the start of last week when the weather was miserable me and Toby were having a bit of trouble finding things to do. We managed to find a little bug making kit free in one of his magazines so we decided to give it a shot. Not going to lie, they remained complete for about five minutes before Toby decided to pull them all apart again! But we both enjoy getting creative so it was quite fun while it lasted. Luckily this week the weather is absolutely beautiful so we've been playing in the garden quite a lot and even managed to squeeze in a few little outings. Hopefully the weather will last and we'll have something a little more fun to update you all with!

Table renovation

Ignore my messy flat and the cushions are pink NOT red!

I got this table October time (eBay, £26 bargain!) with the plan of renovating it but never found the time to do so until a few weekends ago. I am extremely pleased with the outcome as its the first time I've ever done anything like this. I even enjoyed it so much I'm planning on earning myself a little bit of extra money by buying cheap second hand furniture, doing it up and selling it on. So watch this space guys!
It took a good two days to complete as we had to sand it all down first so the paint would take and then wait for the coats of paint to dry so we could add seconds and thirds! It isn't even completely finished yet as it hasn't been varnished but we'll ignore that little fact for now. My original plan was to chip bits of paint off once it had dried to give it that shabby chic look I'm such a fan of but in the end I couldn't bring myself to do it! I was far too pleased with my work plus I haven't ever done anything like that before and didn't want to run the risk of ruining it. It adds such a lovely little touch to the flat, it makes it feel so much more homely and so much more like I've put my own little stamp on it. Plus its such a money saver! I've already got my TV table lined up for next time!

London

I took a little trip to London a couple of weeks ago now to go and see Les Miserables. I have never been one for musicals but I can honestly say it was simply stunning and completely took my breath away. I definitely fell in love that day and I would recommend it to all!
On another not here is a few images I manages to get throughout the day.
Enjoy.

Tobias.

Pretty poor quality due to my scanner being a wanker but basically these our my five final pieces for the exhibition tomorrow. I chose to document Toby for a week as he is my greatest source of inspiration and my main influence for what I do.
Shot and developed by me.

Day 3: A picture of somewhere you’ve been.

 HAVE THREE!
I love going to different places. It's always just so lovely to get away from all the Leicestershire shit and drama and just forget about things for a while. I have lots of new places I'm going to visit in the very near future and I have to say I am as excited as fuck! I really do detest this place sometimes. I chose this picture and this place as it is probably one of my most favourite places in the world. The isle of man. I know it's only a little tiny Island in the middle of the Irish sea, doesn't exactly scream 'wild getaway,' but it's such a beautiful, magical, therapeutic place to be. They have such an interesting culture and folklore! I bought a book about Manx fairy tales when I was out there and I actually love it!
